Georgina Hamblin, Founding Partner
Specialising in High Net Worth divorce and finance work, and all related children matters, Georgina started the firm in May 2023 and is proud to be taking it from strength to strength. As featured elsewhere on our website, Georgina was pronounced Citywealth’s Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year 2025, shortlisted as Spear’s Family Lawyer of the Year 2024 and has been nominated as Family Partner of the Year for Lexis Nexis 2025. Antonia Barker, Partner
Prior to joining Hamblin Family Law as a Partner in 2024, Antonia was a Partner at one of London’s leading family law firms, where she worked closely with Georgina for almost ten years.
She is once again individually ranked as a ‘Next Generation Partner” in the 2026 Legal 500 directory and is described as “switched on” and a “brilliant mind, brilliant lawyer and on top of that, a brilliant person.
Antonia advises on all aspects of divorce and financial remedies, including financial provision after foreign divorces, and for unmarried parents. She has acted for a variety of high and ultra-high net worth clients to resolve the financial issues arising from their relationship breakdown.
Antonia’s financial cases usually involve complex and/or multi-jurisdictional legal and financial issues, including all manner of offshore trust and corporate structures, dynastic wealth, and both alleged and actual non-disclosure of significant assets by one party.
Every family law case is unique. Therefore, Antonia works with clients to identify their objectives and agree upon a strategic approach tailored to their needs, whether through alternative dispute resolution or by way of court proceedings where appropriate. Charlotte Lee, Partner
Upon qualification, Charlotte worked at the top-tier firm Penningtons Manches Cooper. It was at Penningtons that Charlotte gained a wealth of experience in financial and children’s matters, both domestic and overseas. In 2022, Charlotte joined Georgina at a leading London firm, working with ultra-high net worth clients. Attracted by its core values and unique place in the market (as well as the chance to work with Georgina again), Charlotte joined Hamblin Family Law in 2023.
Charlotte regularly advises on financial matters involving multiple jurisdictions, trust assets, and complex business structures. She has acted for a range of clients, including high-profile businesspeople, entrepreneurs, those in the public eye, and mothers/homemakers. Whatever their profession, Charlotte is committed to ensuring that her clients get the best outcome in the most cost-efficient way possible. In children’s matters, Charlotte has dealt with international relocations, matters involving complex psychological issues, and the full range of welfare concerns.
Away from the office, Charlotte’s time is spent caring for her young family, practising Pilates and running – including chasing the sun whenever the opportunity arises.

Sarah Hogarth, Partner
Sarah commenced her career at a leading family law firm in the city, where she worked closely with Georgina for almost 10 years. Thereafter, she worked at another boutique family law practice, before joining Hamblin Family Law as a Partner in 2025.
Sarah advises clients on all aspects of family law, with a particular focus on resolving complex financial issues for high-net-worth individuals. Many of her cases involve trusts, corporate structures and jurisdictional issues. In addition, Sarah regularly advises upon the negotiation and enforcement of post and pre-nuptial agreements. Sarah also has experience in private children matters, including child arrangements and financial provision.
Sarah acts for a wide variety of individuals from city professionals and entrepreneurs to homemakers. Sarah’s focus is on providing both empathetic and proactive advice and guidance during what is an extremely difficult time in people’s lives.
Sarah is committed to achieving creative and cost-effective solutions outside of the court setting wherever appropriate and possible, tailored to each client’s individual circumstances and goals. Where court proceedings are required, Sarah adopts a strategic and determined approach to litigation.
Outside of work, Sarah has two young sons who keep her very busy. When she has the chance, she also enjoys baking.

- Representing the wife within High Court proceedings, with interests spanning five jurisdictions and total wealth of c£230m+, generated during the marriage through full and equal contributions by both parties. Successfully defending the husband’s arguments with regards to post-separation accrual and special contribution and securing the wife an award of c45% of the marital pot.
- Successfully defending a variation claim brought by an ex-spouse in respect of spousal and child maintenance following the covid-19 pandemic.
- Representing the wife in Part III proceedings following a divorce in Russia. The case, which included the instruction of four Queens Counsel, was heard before Mrs Justice Roberts in the High Court over a 21 day two-stage hearing and culminated in the Wife being awarded an additional lump sum of £1.148m, together with additional provision for the children. The matter was subsequently brought before the Court of Appeal.
- Representing the husband following a 12-year marriage with 3 young children, where the parties’ assets of c£17m+ were, in the main, generated during the marriage. Following successful negotiations outside of court, the husband was able to retain an 100% interest in his businesses and pre-marital properties, together with a clean break as to capital and income.
Gillian Rivers, Senior Consultant
Gillian joined Hamblin Family as a Senior Consultant in October 2025, having been a Leading Family Partner at topflight London firms for over 20 years.
She advises on all areas of domestic and international family law, including children and finance work.
Gillian has a gritty determination to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients. She is known for her empathic approach to clients and being a good listener, and a stickler for detail. She will steer clients expertly through an agreed strategy. Whilst a first-class advocate, she will always have a settlement outcome in mind.
Past chair to the Family Law Committee of the International Bar Association, a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers, and a member of Resolution.
She founded the Penningtons Manches Charitable Foundation, established in 2017 to support vulnerable people and to advance education, which she ran from its inception.
She was nominated as a Super Lawyer and City Wealth called her: “a first rate lawyer with considerable experience of handling cases with substantial wealth, particularly those with significant international issues… manages negotiations with skill… in short, first class… deals with these issues with humanity and sensitivity’. Peers describe her as ‘always driven to produce the best results for her clients”.
Gillian was granted Freedom of the City of London in 2016.
In 2018 she was awarded a Family Law Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year Award for her services in the fight against human trafficking and in recognition of the work of the Penningtons Manches Cooper Foundation.
She is former panel advisor to Kevin Hyland OBE, and Dame Sara Thornton (Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioners), member of Santa Marta Group (the initiative of Pope Francis to fight for the global eradication of slavery).
Ambassador of The Passage, a London based centre to prevent and re-habilitate those individuals who are without a home. She is also Chairwomen to their newly formed Women’s Philanthropy Group and Trustee to The Clewer Initiative.
Outside of work, Gillian is passionate about her family and her whippets, she is a published author and dabbling artist, dress maker and musician!
Tim Carpenter, Senior Associate
Tim trained at Withers London, before moving to Withers Hong Kong, where he practiced for six years, running a wide range of finance and children cases. He then joined the equally impressive top-tier firm of Stewarts in London in September 2018, before joining Hamblin Family Law to grow the firm alongside Georgina in January 2024.
Tim specialises in all areas of family law, including financial settlement on divorce and arrangements for children after parents separate. Tim’s financial cases frequently have an international dimension, often involving trusts, inherited wealth, and family businesses. His clients have included entrepreneurs, business owners, city professionals, and their spouses/partners.
On the non-contentious side, Tim regularly advises on pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements, and wealth protection.
Tim has a passion for tennis and rugby, and is a core part of the Family Law Tennis network.

Laura Hunter-Watkins, Senior Associate
Laura joined Hamblin Family Law in 2025 after nine years with top-tier firm Penningtons Manches Cooper. She advises on all areas of family law including nuptial agreements, divorce and financial claims, and has a particular focus on children matters. Laura’s approach is constructive and pragmatic. She recognises the profoundly personal nature of our work and supports clients professionally and, in the words of a former client, ‘on a human to human level’. Her goal is to help her clients find practical resolutions that will remain effective for them and their family long after the lawyers have stepped away.
Laura specialises in high conflict children cases often involving welfare concerns including domestic abuse, coercive and controlling behaviour, safeguarding issues, and alienating behaviour. She is experienced in international children law and advises on disputes such as relocating a child to live abroad, jurisdictional issues, wrongful removal/retention of a child and education choices.
Alongside her children practice, Laura handles high value financial matters, usually involving complex income and corporate structures and multi-jurisdictional assets.
Laura was shortlisted in the prestigious Lexis Nexis Family Law Awards’ ‘Associate of the Year’ category in 2024. She is a Resolution-accredited specialist in private children law and complex higher income financial remedies. She also sits on the Resolution committee addressing innovation within the profession. Laura is committed to pro-bono legal assistance and was included in the 2024 Pro Bono Recognition List of England & Wales.

Lorraine Finch, Office Manager
Lorraine joined Hamblin Family Law in July 2024, as our Office Manager, bringing a wealth of administrative experience from her time at Penningtons Manches Cooper, where she supported the Family Department. With a strong focus on efficiency, Lorraine is dedicated to optimising legal operations and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office for our growing team.

Grace Horvath-Franco, Solicitor
Grace joined Hamblin Family Law in October 2024 upon qualifying as a solicitor. She has a wealth of experience beyond her years having trained at Stewarts, a Tier 1 firm, and enjoyed four additional years there across a range of practice areas as a paralegal.
Grace is experienced in advising clients on all aspects of divorce, financial remedy and children proceedings, as well as all out of court settlement routes.
Outside of work, Grace is an avid reader and foodie. She also enjoys baking and spending quality time with her niece and nephew.

Kate Abramson, Solicitor
Kate joined Hamblin Family Law as a newly qualified solicitor in April 2025, after training at a top-ranked Legal 500 firm. During her training, she built up strong experience across a wide range of complex children and financial remedy cases.
Kate’s children work often involves supporting clients through emotionally challenging situations including cases with allegations of domestic abuse, international relocation issues and financial provision for children. Kate regularly advises on high net worth and complex matters in financial remedy proceedings.
Kate is passionate about helping clients feel empowered throughout the legal process. Her goal is always to make sure they come out the other side feeling stronger, more informed, and ready for the next chapter in their lives.
Outside of work, Kate enjoys going to the gym or doing Pilates, mostly to balance out her favourite pastimes: trying out new restaurants and bakeries.

Danielle Squires, Paralegal
Danielle joined Hamblin Family Law from Payne Hicks Beach in March 2024, where she had gained invaluable experience assisting their Head of Family Law.
Danielle is a high achiever who adores the work she does, giving the utmost enthusiasm to everything she sets her mind to. Danielle is currently completing her qualifying hours to complete her Chartered Legal Executive training, something that Hamblin Family Law is proud to support.
Outside of work, Danielle has a passion for fictional writing, baking, and Pilates, as well as travelling the world with loved ones when and wherever she can get the opportunity.

Ying Ying Liu, Paralegal
Ying Ying expertly assist the HFL team on all aspects of family law, including financial and children matters. She brings attention to detail, diligence, and a compassionate perspective to clients going through one of the most difficult transitions in their lives.
Before joining the firm in September 2025, Ying Ying was a paralegal at Stewarts for four years where she gained invaluable experience across different departments, including its Tier 1 family practice. During her time there, she assisted on a wide variety of cases, with a focus on complex and high-value financial disputes that often involved an international element. She also has experience working on cases involving pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, as well as ones where clients engage in alternative dispute resolution such as mediation or arbitration.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Ying Ying completed her university degree there and is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.
Outside the office, Ying Ying loves spending her time travelling (preferably to sunnier parts of the world), and trying out new recipes whilst cooking for her friends and family.

Sonabella Harji, Associate
Upon qualification, Sonabella worked at the top-tier firm Collyer Bristow where she assisted across a variety of financial and children matters. Her clients included entrepreneurs, business owners, home makers, medical professionals and other lawyers.
Attracted to Hamblin Family Law’s people, drive, ambition, and vision to do things differently, she moved to the firm in 2024.
Sonabella is passionate about Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in and outside of the legal profession and has done a great deal of positive work in this space. At Hamblin Family Law she continues championing these causes both within and outside of the firm.
